Charges apply for early arrival or late departure, subject to availability. This option will be confirmed within 24 hours before the day of your arrival, by reception who will contact you by phone or email.
The front desk is open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. If you plan to arrive after closing time, please contact the property to make arrangements. For emergencies, please call 418-389-8362.
Payment terms
50% upon booking. The balance is due upon arrival.
Security deposit
Mandatory security deposit upon arrival, by physical credit card only. A valid credit card and photo ID are required upon check-in.
Upon arrival, a security deposit is temporarily pre-authorized not charged by credit card only for a limited time: $750 for the cottage and chalets for 4, 6 and 8 people. $1250 for the cottage for 10 people.
This security deposit serves as a guarantee for all services, amenities, and activities offered on the premises of La cache à Maxime, whether inside or outside the chalets and public areas. The security deposit will be released after cleaning and inspection of the rental unit. Note, you must allow 7 to 7 working days for it to be released by your financial institution.
In the event of a breach of general regulations or breakage of any kind, although it is accidental, the security deposit is kept during the period of management of your file. Once the billable amount has been established, a copy of the invoice will be emailed to you. If necessary, the deposit will be used to pay the balance of your bill at the end of your stay.
Cancellation and/or reservation modification policy
More than 30 days before arrival:
▪ Cancellation fee of $100 + taxes non-refundable.
▪ Possibility of changing the date and/or chalet according to the rates in force.
Less than 30 days before arrival:
▪ The deposit paid is non-refundable.
▪ No possibility to change the date and/or chalet.
Less than 48 hours before arrival (before 4pm):
▪ The full amount of your stay will be charged to your credit card. No possibility of changing date and/or chalet + health care fees, if applicable.
NB: No cancellation fee is applicable in the event of a cancellation within 24 hours of making the reservation.
Reasons for cancellation: La cache à Maxime disclaims all liability arising from a cancellation regardless of the reason and/or the reason: weather conditions, power failure, road conditions, natural disasters, illness, death, or others.
Amenities in the chalets for 4, 6, 8, 10 people
Although spacious, our chalets are designed to accommodate a maximum of 4 to 10 people, depending on the chalet you choose.
All the following items are included in the rental of the chalet:
- Bedding and pillows for 4 to 10 people
- Towel and 1 washcloth per person
- Dish towels, table linens, oven gloves, dish soap, and dishwasher capsules
- 1 roll of paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissues
- Dishes and utensils, baking dishes, saucepans, electric fondue pot (extension included)
- Kitchen table for 4 to 8 people (4 to 8 chairs, depending on the cabin, and 1 additional bench for 2 people)
- Outdoor patio set
- Coffee maker with filter (filters included)
- Toaster, kettle
- BBQ and propane fireplace, outdoor wood-burning fireplace (1 bag of firewood included upon arrival; additional firewood available for purchase at the hotel front desk) with benches
- 2 televisions, one of which has a DVD player, free access to wireless Internet (Wi-Fi)
- Washer and dryer
- Iron and ironing board
- Broom and dustpan
- Bucket and mop
All chalets are air-conditioned and equipped with radiant heating.
All chalets for 4, 6, or 8 people have two bedrooms. The chalet for 10 people has three bedrooms.

Our cottage is designed to accommodate a maximum of 4 people.
All the following items are included in the rental of the cottage:

Housekeeping Service
Please note that no housekeeping service during your stay is offered. Our maintenance team will take care of the cleaning upon your departure.
Charges apply for cleaning during the stay. Check with a customer service agent for the charges.
Departure instructions
- Start the dishwasher with the dishes and utensils used before you leave the chalet.
- Clean the BBQ as you go
- Place all waste in the outdoor bin provided for this purpose.
- Leave the chalet in order, replace the furniture (interior and exterior) in the same way as when you arrived.
- Turn off lights, close windows, and lock doors.
- Return the keys to the hotel reception upon departure. If not returned, a fee of $ 30 / key will be charged.
Failure to comply with these instructions may lead to additional charges which will be charged to your final invoice.
General regulations
This is a notice. Failure to follow these rules may result in additional costs or expulsion without refund. The penalty is determined based on the nature of the misconduct.
- Fireworks and sky lanterns are prohibited on the site. $500 fine.
- Outdoor campfires are permitted in fireplaces for this purpose.
- It is prohibited to exceed the maximum capacity of your accommodation as confirmed at the time of booking. Our chalets are designed to accommodate 4, 6, 8, or 10 people, depending on the type of chalet selected. La cache à Maxime assumes no liability for any accidents, injuries, property damage, or fire resulting from exceeding the maximum capacity. In the event of damage, the costs associated with repairs as well as the estimated loss of revenue will be the responsibility of the at-fault guest. If there are more than 12 people in the cottage during an evening, an additional fee of four hundred fifty dollars ($450) will be charged to the account
- Various holidays, excessive noise, music, etc .: A curfew is required at 11:00 pm. A complaint requiring compensation to the complainant will be the responsibility of the culprits. Outdoor music is prohibited at all times. It is your responsibility to notify the establishment if you are hosting a reception at the chalet with or without a visitor.
- Due to our operations, it is not allowed to install a tent, tent-roller, trailer, RV, marquee, inflatable games, or various games (example: volleyball net) on the site.
- No confetti, flower petals, or similar items will be permitted on the La Cache grounds. A $250 fine will be imposed.
- The consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited on the site outside La cache à Maxime.
- Swimming in the pool-beach area requires supervision by certified lifeguards. La Cache cannot be held liable for unsupervised swimming. Swimming in the pool-beach area is prohibited when lifeguards are not present and, therefore, during closing hours.
- It is strictly prohibited to ride snowmobiles and/or ATVs on the chalet grounds.
- Moving the pool table within the chalet is prohibited. $500 fine.
- Be 21 years of age and over to rent a cottage. At least 1 adult aged 21 and over must be on-site at all times during the stay.
- Lost/forgotten items: La cache à Maxime is not responsible for lost/forgotten or stolen items in a chalet, a hotel room and/or in public areas. Items found will be kept for a maximum of 3 months. It is your responsibility to come and collect the claimed/found items or to pay the transport costs.
Pets
Dogs are accepted in certain chalets only, with applicable fees of $25+taxes per night per dog. You must notify the staff when booking or before your arrival.
- Dogs must have clipped claws
- Feces must be collected at all times and in all places, whether at the cottage or in public areas (indoor-outdoor)
- It is forbidden to leave an animal unattended inside the chalet
- Use of the cage is required
- Avoid excessive barking
- Animals must be kept tied up at all times on the chalet grounds and in public places.
Responsibilities:
Any animal in the chalet will be the responsibility of the tenant. Damage caused by an animal inside or outside the chalets will be charged to you.
Please note that La cache à Maxime employees can come to the chalet without notice. Please keep your pets tied up to avoid uncontrollable situations that could hurt someone, regardless of your pet’s usual temperament.
Hot tub use instructions
USAGE, HYGIENE, AND SECURITY
- Take a soap-free shower BEFORE using.
- DO NOT POUR ANY PRODUCT of any kind into the spa.
- No food is accepted. Only beverages are tolerated. Use only plastic cups or cans. Hydrate often.
- For people with skin problems or various illnesses, follow the advice of your doctor before use.
- Do not remove the cleaning agent reservoirs.
- Follow the instructions for opening and closing the spa cover as indicated on the poster hanging on the cover to avoid accident or breakage ($).
- Keep the spa cover closed when not in use to prevent evaporation of cleaning products.
- It is advisable not to exceed a maximum of one (1) hour of swimming.
CONTROL SYSTEM
- The spa is ready for use upon arrival and the temperature is preset according to the season. We recommend that you leave the temperature as it is to avoid discomfort or ineffective cleaning products.
- The keypad is the spa control system (computer). Deprogramming can render the spa non-functional without compensation. Use only the jets/bubbles/lights buttons when in use.
- If you wish to control the temperature, do so before use, so you will avoid deprogramming the spa and rendering it non-functional without compensation.
- Advise your children to be careful when using them, they like to press buttons very much and this is not without consequence.
Our spa maintenance team checks at least every 2 days without notice.
